It feels like forever since I've blogged! We went to the Creation Museum last week, but I forgot the camera. This past weekend we went camping at Spring Mill. Johnny, Cindy, and the kids came up to visit us on Friday night. Micah and Brian Anthony had fun playing in the dirt (imagine that). On Saturday we had an action packed day at Spring Mill. We watched model rockets being launched, made water bottle rockets and shot them off, put together (and painted) bi-planes, went swimming, walked through the Pioneer Village, and much more! We had a blast! It was a much needed get away. We came back Sunday afternoon in time for House Church at the King's.

Let's Share!

This shows the difference between the personalities of Rhett and Micah. This morning I asked Rhett and Micah if they wanted to go to Laney's (their grandma) while I went shopping, or did they want Laney to go with us. Rhett said that he wanted her to go with us so he could take his money in case he wanted to buy something. So he went downstairs to get his wallet and told Micah to get her purse. He told Micah that he would give her some of his money to put in her purse -he has a lot of coins and she doesn't have very much (Rhett is always looking out for his little sister). Then she says, "Rhett, let's share!" And I am thinking How sweet. I've raised such great kids. Then she continues by saying, "Let's put all the money in MY purse, okay, Rhett? 'cause that's sharing!" I can see I still have my work cut out for me!! ;)

Cute Story

As we are all getting in the van to go to church on Sunday, Rhett says, "Mom, I'm taking my Bible in case we talk about God." Then Micah says that she needs her Bible, too. So I run inside, grab her Bible, and get back in the van (because of course, we are running short on time.) As we are driving home from church, I casually ask Rhett and Micah if they needed their Bibles today in Jr. Kid Church. Rhett responded, "No ... we didn't talk about God today." Tony was in the middle of getting a drink and kind of choked. It was so funny! Then we had to explain that all of the other people they learn about in their lessons are in the Bible, too! Too cute!

On Saturday, we went up to Lafayette for Laura's wedding. It still is amazing to think she's finished with college and is married. My mom starting babysitting her when she was 6 weeks old (I was 10). Then, a few years later came Jeffrey. They've always been a part of our family. She was the little sister I never had! I would fix her hair and put make-up on her. I would do her nails and teach her cheers. They lived across the street and spent just as much time at our house as they did theirs (or so I remember). Congratulations Laura & Jose! We are so happy for you!

On the 4th of July, we went to the river for the Coomer family get-together. Both of Tony's aunts have awesome summer places on the Ohio River (Aunt Donna & Aunt Bea). The scenery was beautiful! We had a great time despite the down pour of rain. Thanks to Jason for taking care of Blair during the rain! Tony and I were so busy gathering Rhett and Micah (who are terrified of storms) that we were already inside when I realized we didn't have the baby! ;) Later in the evening we took a boat ride along the Ohio River. It was a lot of fun and of course, I forgot to bring my camera along. The day went by so fast. We ended it with fireworks (of our own and several neighbors along the river). Thanks to Johnny for being in charge of the fireworks show. After last year, Tony said he's retired!

1st Cereal

On Tuesday, 7/3, Blair had cereal for the first time. She LOVED it! It was so funny to watch her get used to the new texture and taste. I hope you enjoy the pictures! We also caught most of her feeding on videotape. She made so many faces! At first, we couldn't tell if she liked it or not! Too cute!

Weight Update

I bet the title made you think I was going to share MY weight information with you, didn't it??? Actually, I was going to update everyone on Blair's correct weight. I ran her in to the doctor today and asked if they could re-weigh her. She weighs 14 # 4 oz. (that's more like it)! I blamed the mistake on my mom ;-) Anyone who knows her knows what a talker she is. She kept talking to the nurse who was weighing her and converting it on the calculator. I bet my mom distracted her and she put in the wrong numbers. The nurse today just laughed when I told her it was probably my mom (her little girl and Rhett went to the same preschool and her sister and I used to work together). She knows how my mom is -never meets a stranger!!!

4 Month Doctor Visit

Blair went to the doctor for her 4 month check-up today. She will be 4 months old on July 5th. The doctor said that everything looked great. She was 25.2 inches long and weighed 11 pounds 14 ounces. This puts her in the 75 percentile in height and the 25 percentile in weight. So I guess she is tall and skinny (who does she get that from?????)! I was actually thinking she would weigh closer to 13 pounds myself (she gets pretty heavy carrying her around all day). I just looked up what Rhett & Micah weighed at their 4 month check up: Rhett was 15 # 3 oz. and Micah was 14# 8 oz. They must have made a mistake when doing the calculations! I might have to take her back and have them weigh her again.

Dr. Hensley gave the okay to start her on cereal, so I stopped and bought some rice cereal on the way home. Of course I will take pictures of her 1st meal!! She had to get 3 shots. I snapped a few pictures just after (notice the band-aids).
