Vote on Your Favorite Picture

Okay, so Beth took some FABULOUS pictures of Micah (and the family) and I need your help!!! I am entering Micah in the Charlestown Founder's Day Princess Pageant and need to submit a photo of her. Which picture should I choose? It needs to be one of Micah by herself. Let me know your thoughts ASAP!!! I will need to make my decision so that I can get her application turned in. Go to http://spencershots.blogspot.com/ to view the pictures.

Thanks so much!!!

15 Year High School Reunion!!!!!

Can you believe that Tony and I have been out of school for 15 years???? That's crazy!! About 2 weeks ago we received an invitation to Tony's very small Christian School's high school reunion in Georgia. It's for anyone who graduated in 1998 or before. We are leaving Friday at noon to make the trip to Oakwood, Georgia for the Maranatha Christian School Reunion. He said that there were about 9-10 in his graduating class. We debated on whether to take the kids. I'm sure everyone would love to see them, but the 8 hour drive there and back just isn't going to be fun for them. Sharon is going to keep Rhett and Micah and Blair is staying at my mom's. Damon will be holding down the fort at our house (I've given him a "to-do" list while I'm gone). Rhett and Micah are so excited about spending the weekend at Grandma's!!! They have big plans for her!!

I'm looking forward to our "date weekend!" The weather looks like it's going to be great down there! I'm hoping that we'll be able to go to the church and see the gym where Tony played basketball in high school. I've heard he holds a lot of records!!!! I'll post pictures of our trip soon.

Sweet Dreams

You may be wondering, "Wow! How is she able to get in all of these blog entries in the same night?" All 3 kids were asleep by 8:00!!! We had a very busy (and fun) weekend and I think they were just exhausted!! Tony's teaching at Ivy Tech, so while I'm waiting on the laundry, I thought I would blog. I haven't taken pictures of them sleeping for a long time ...I've forgotten how much I love to just watch them sleep!! I'll wait awhile, and then transfer everyone to their own bed.
Please note Blair's quilt. Sharon made this for Blair as a birthday present!! Isn't it the cutest thing? I LOVE it!! It's so soft and fluffy! The colors are adorable, and it's the perfect size! Sharon is so talented at so many things! I keep telling Tony that some day when we are both not so busy, I want her to teach me to sew. We also keep saying that we want to scrapbook together, too! We actually talked to someone who goes to a monthly workshop ...that's something I plan to look into!
If there's anybody out there reading this that likes to scrapbook, let me know. Maybe we can create our own monthly scrapbooking club! I desperately need to catch up.

AWANA Awards Night

Micah finished her first year in AWANA and Cubbies!! She was so excited to get the Cubbie Bear and 3 patches for her vest!! Rhett finished his 3rd year in AWANA and 1st year in Sparks!! He received an attendance jewel, red jewel, a Sparky pin, and a patch for his vest. He almost completed his book. He still needs to learn John 1:1-4 and bring a visitor. He will start right where he left off when AWANA starts back in the Fall. I am so proud of both of them. It's hard to learn Bible verses! It's amazing what they can remember. It's awesome to think that they will hide these verses in their heart and are building such a strong foundation in the Word of God. I only hope I will learn just as much as they are learning, as I help them each week with their books.

Great Weekend

Friday night, Sharon and Herb called to invite Rhett and Micah to spend the night (they had Brian Anthony as well). They kept Blair so Tony and I could have our "date night" and then we picked her up. (I don't know why they didn't think they could handle her too! ;) LOL) Tony and I grabbed a quick bite, went to make a hospital visit, and ended up at Lowes ...a nice change from the typical Wal-Mart/Target!!
We met up with Sharon and the kids Saturday morning at Devin's soccer game and then grabbed lunch at Qdoba (yum!). That afternoon, Tony mowed the grass and I worked on getting the Goodwill piles together, packing away the rest of the winter clothes, going through toys, etc. We stopped to go to a surprise 50th Birthday party for Becky and then came back to finish up. The kids played with the neighbors while Tony finished mowing, and I swept the garage and porch. We actually got a lot accomplished!!! (Jak, I used that word just for you!!) Damon ended up taking all of the Goodwill bags/boxes for me ...yeah! One less thing from my to-do list.
On Sunday Tony took Rhett, Seth, and Luke to the Bats game and Micah went home with Brian Anthony. That left me in a quiet house all alone with Blair. We hung out, sang some songs, read some books, etc. Her new thing is reading! She absolutely loves books, but wants you to read the same book over and over!! She played while I did bills, we took a nap, and then I worked on school stuff while she played with her babies. Sunday night was the AWANA Awards program and then we went up to Beth and Josh's to see their new house. It's so nice!! They already looked settled and unpacked!! It's so peaceful and quiet out there. The area is so pretty!!

Opening Day 2008

I promised Tony that I would create a blog entry to show the turkey he shot on Opening Day of Turkey Season. Tony said that when Rhett saw it for the first time he said, "It looks LITTLE!!" Not quite the way to boost your dad's hunting ego!! LOL Micah was all into the feathers and asked him a ton of questions about his hunting experience (typical girl). Blair just wanted to "pet"it!! I don't think she understood that it was dead.
It weighed 22 pounds and the spurs were 31 mm (??????) I'm not into hunting, but I'm sure this means something to those who are!! Johnny went with Tony and did the guiding/calling for him.

Congratulations Karen!!

I forgot to take pictures at the reception, but Tony must have taken this one! Karen's wedding was absolutely beautiful- her dress, the flowers, the flower girls, the song selection, the dedication to her parents in the program, the classy reception! Karen and Kristen did an excellent job planning all of the details. She was a beautiful bride (Jonathon looked pretty handsome in his uniform as well!!)!
