Zoo Pictures

The Gang taking a break in the shade.
The elephants were inside so this was the closest thing to an elephant that they saw.
Micah posing for one more picture before leaving.

I just talked to my mom and she is home from the hospital. They gave her fluids and a prescription for a urinary tract infection. She said that she can already tell a difference in how she feels! Thanks to all who took time out of their day to pray for her! It means more than you will ever know!!

I'm glad that Marcye invited us to spend the day at the Zoo with her. We had a great trip! Right now Micah is asleep, Rhett is laying on the couch watching a movie, Blair is playing with some toys, and I'm about to sit down and read. We are all exhausted!! Tony is bringing home McAllisters (imagine that) for dinner!!

Please Pray

... for my mom. I am taking her to Clark Memorial Hospital this morning to get fluids. We think she is dehydrated. She has been very sick since last Saturday and we've finally convinced her to go to the hospital. She had contacted her chemo nurse a couple of times, but I don't think the nurse realized how bad she was feeling. She's passed out several times. I'm thankful that she hasn't been hurt. I know she thinks that she will get up the next morning and start feeling better, but that's not happening.

I'm going to take her and get her settled in and then my dad is coming to sit with her and take her home. It's been a rough week because with Sharon and Tabby out of town, I haven't been able to be there for her as much as I would have liked to have been. (Sharon and Tabby are my back up babysitters.)

After I get her settled, I'm meeting Marcye at the Louisville Zoo. She has Tabby's kids and we had already planned this outing for the day. I'll post pictures soon.

5th of July Party

Tony's "aerial view" of the adults.
Rhett watching the big kids.
Micah and Luke taking a snack break.
Blair getting too close to the camera!
Mr. Micah coming down from the slide.

Our neighbor's have a HUGE fireworks display every year so Tony and I always invite some people over for some food, fun, and fellowship!! Sharon brought her blow up jumping thing and a water slide. The kids had a blast!!! We played a couple of games of corn hole. I realized that in 2008 Tony and I are undefeated!!! If anyone thinks they can handle it, bring it on ... (side note: we are NOT that good this is just a joke!!!)

4th of July on the River

Blair ready to get out of the car seat!
Matching dresses!!!
They just look like they are up to something!!
The Kaelin's!!
The Cyclone!! The Other Kaelin's!!

We went to Aunt Bea & Aunt Donna's places on the river to celebrate the 4th. The weather wasn't great but we still enjoyed the day! Their was a cyclone slide for the kids, Corn Hole for the adults, and basketball for the teens. The new Golf Cart was a huge hit!! Of course the food was great and the fireworks were too!! Blair kept asking for her Papaw! Too cute!! BTW, this is the first year that someone hasn't had to hold Rhett and Micah's ears during the fireworks ... oh how they are growing up!!

Founder's Day Parade

Our theme for VBS is BOOT Camp (notice the army attire).
Jarrod and Erin are Blair's unofficial babysitters!!
The Kids
The Big Kids ;)

Our church had a float in the Founder's Day Parade last week. We had a good time, although it was really hot!! We even won Most Spirited!!! Go CIC!!! When it was over I asked Rhett if he had a good time and he just looked at me like I was crazy (he didn't). I don't think he liked the idea of throwing all of the candy out to the kids and not being the kid on the side of the street receiving the candy.;) He rode in the jeep with Blair, Micah, Brian Anthony, Ty, Kimber, Jarrod, and Lisa.
I'm already making plans for next year ... decorating a trailer for the kids to ride on, a sound system to play some music, someone bringing the kids just as we are about to start (so they don't have to wait). Rhett's thinking of a way he can ride in the float AND get candy ...hmm.

Zoo Pictures

Waiting for the train
We just saw the baby elephant
This is so funny ... Micah is doing her cheer pose, while Rhett is doing the peace sign (I don't know if this is coincidence or if he meant to do that)

We went to the Louisville Zoo with my mom a couple of weeks ago and I forgot to post pictures!! The weather was great! I bought a membership so I plan to go a couple of times this year. If anyone would like to join us, just call me! I'm sure one trip to the zoo is enough for my mom right now!!!

Random Pictures

Rhett trying to dunk it!!!
Now he's getting fancy with his footwork!!!
Micah relieved after the Princess Pagaent was over!!
Blair fell asleep with her "baw-baw" and blanket.

I'm just realizing that not only have I not blogged for awhile, I'm not taking as many pictures as I usually take. The girl who averages about 100 pictures a month has only taken 64 in June. Actually if you consider some of these were taken in July, then I'm really doing bad!!! I guess I've been so busy just hanging out with the kids around the house, I haven't taken the time to capture what we've been doing. No swim pictures, no campfire pictures, no "baking" pictures, etc. I've got to catch up!! I even told Rhett he should have been keeping a journal of all his summer activities. Like always, I have great ideas but never have the time to follow through!
